Folio Investing is seeking an entry level Tax Analyst to join our growing Client Operations Service team.


  • Ensure Folio is in compliance with IRS regulatory standards in support of their client tax reporting routines
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all 1099 tax forms, cost basis accounting (CBA), 1042-S & 5498 tax forms to Folio’s RIA and Retail client segments
  • Oversee balancing of tax data and quality control of tax forms and delivery to the shareholder
  • Help to establish policies and procedures for timely and accurate client tax reporting
  • Assist clients in problem resolution in tax related areas
  • Manage client communications tasks
  • Create seasonal tax plan coverage to ensure Folio provides a value adding tax service experience
  • Effectively manage all tax vendor relationships
  • Implement a Quality Control and Quality Assurance program


  • Bachelor’s degree in finance/business/accounting – experience in lieu of degree considered
  • General understanding of RIA/Retail client tax reporting requirements
  • Fundamental knowledge of cost basis accounting for tax reporting purposes
  • Broker dealer; RIA and Retirement reporting experience desired
  • Experience in managing/working with outside vendor service provider
  • Strong multi-tasking, problem solving, interpersonal, communication, writing composition, and organizational skills
  • Must be technically savvy with the ability to support our clients as they utilize our web-based products
  • Basic database query skills or ability to learn quickly
