Overview

Folio Investments is seeking a Corporate Actions Analyst for a role within its Brokerage Operations unit. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with strong organization skills. They will possess the desire and ability to drive established procedures to ensure accuracy, validity, and timeliness of corporate actions (dividend and reorganization) and proxy processing.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for processing daily transactions within the Corporate Actions & Proxy team –such as dividend payments, cash liquidations, stock splits, reverse splits, etc.
  • Facilitate timely and accurate communication of corporate action and proxy information to internal and external clients in person and in written reports
  • Assist and influence the long-term goals and strategy of a brokerage operations department to improve processing and customer service, while reducing risk
  • Perform cause analysis to understand a problem and exercise critical thinking and active learning skills necessary to solve problems and improve processes
  • Recommend and initiate enhancements to current processing methods and procedures

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree with 1-2+ years broker dealer or RIA industry experience desired (including an intermediate knowledge of financial transaction processing and corporate actions & proxy concepts and techniques)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with IT programmers, customer service representatives, operations employees/managers, agents, and clients
  • Desktop skills such as Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint
  • Self motivated with high energy and initiative
  • Financial and analytic ability to reconcile, research, and correct out of balance conditions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Organizational, task management, and strong attention to detail ability in order to consistently perform in a time sensitive environment with multiple daily deadlines
  • Series 7 preferred

Strongly Desired:

  • Experience with industry applications such as; FTInteractive Data, DTC PTS, PCWeb and Xcitek desired (willing to train)
  • Supervisory experience
