    Folio Institutional is a leading provider of innovative and advanced tools and technology services as well as integrated clearing brokerage, trading and custody services to Registered Investment Advisors, Turnkey Asset Management Programs, Third Party Administrators and Broker-Dealers.

     

    We are in search of several Account Managers to join our growing institutional sales team.  The Account Manager is responsible for the growth and retention of advisor firms and broker-dealer firms who utilize the Folio Institutional platform and who have been on the platform for at least 2 years.  The Account Manager will build and maintain relationships with assigned firms with the objective of ensuring optimal engagement with those firms, increasing their usage of the platform and facilitating their growth as a firm and their assets on the platform.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and grow the relationship with each of the firms assigned to the Account Manager to achieve the financial objectives we have for each firm and their use of, and presence on, the platform.
    • Initiate strategic business discussions with assigned firms. Provide proactive consultation and practice management solutions and uncover opportunities to gather additional assets and grow the business.
    • Develop and implement business enhancements and goals for assigned firms.
    • Provide proactive support for each assigned firm relationship and their advisors either personally or through an extended network of internal business partners.
    • Identify any vulnerable firm relationships, assess the degree of vulnerability, and leverage our resources and organization to develop and execute a retention strategy.
    • Partner with marketing to coordinate development and loyalty strategies for assigned firms.
    • Understand and effectively communicate our value proposition
    • Partner with our other businesses to help introduce a full line of products, services and capabilities to assigned firm relationships. 
    • Develop an understanding of the assigned firm’s business and determine how our products and services can best add additional value to the firm’s business.
    • Stay informed of critical operational issues and escalations that impact the assigned firm.
    • Monitor trends impacting assigned firm satisfaction, including competitive, industry, and marketplace data. Develop a response plan to maintain or improve assigned firm satisfaction.
    • Share information and collaborate with colleagues to leverage best practices and work on cross-company initiatives.
    • Fully utilize SaleForce CRM tool for tracking and analytical purposes.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of sales and/or account management experience in, and a deep understanding of, the Registered Investment Advisor or wealth management businesses, or the independent broker-dealer business.
    • FINRA Series 7 and/or 65 and 63 and/or 66 licenses.       
    • Proven ability to be successful with advisors in face-to-face meetings, phone based relationships and via email.
    • Strong communicator with outgoing approach.
    • Strong multi-tasking, project management and organizational skills with ability to manage and complete activities.
    • Knowledge of SalesForce CRM.
    • Bachelor’s degree is required, MBA preferred.
