    The Brokerage Operations Analyst is a member or the firm’s Risk/Control function supporting its self clearing broker dealer Folio Investments LLC. The Analyst role will be responsible for a variety Risk & Control activities as well as responsibility for the daily monitoring of Margin and Fraud related transactions. The Analyst will also be responsible for supporting the daily internal control functions of the Brokerage Operations Department, including the supervision of risk and control testing, WSP control, vendor management, and reconciliations. The Analyst will proactively partner with Compliance, Customer Service, Operations and PDPM teams t reduce the risk footprint, resolve operational issues and enhance the overall control environment. The Analyst will also be responsible for drafting and publishing various Operational and Service metric reports. The Analyst will support and assist the Firm’s FinOp with all responsibilities concerning Operations impact on the Customer/PAB Reserve Formulas and FOCUS reports.  He/she will work closely with the extended operations, client services and product team to establish a margin lending/trading offering compliant with all applicable regulatory and house rules and policies governing this activity.



    • Assist in new policies and procedures to ensure the various processing streams within the broker dealer are effectively efficient and in compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements
    • Support functions within brokerage operations department including risk and control testing, margin lending, transactional fraud management and 3rd party vendor risk management/oversight.
    • Provide exemplary customer service while managing inquiries from CSR associates, retail clients and financial advisors regarding margin lending and other related support functions.
    • Build and support anti-fraud related protocols and assist the Compliance department with the supervision and remediation of any and all follow-up concerning fraudulent activity
    • Proactively remediate operational issues that create an unstable processing environment
    • Monitors, analyzes and report on the processing team(s) productivity, control and compliance operating environment to management
    • Adhere to company policies and procedures and comply with legal and regulatory (FINRA and SEC) requirements
    • Keeps abreast of risk/control related changes that may impact assigned work functions and processes, and supports changes in company policies and Federal Reserve Board or other applicable regulations that impact the Firm’s new margin lending product 



    • 5+ years Financial Services experience preferably in a Brokerage/Investment/RIA operations/service/compliance environment
    • Series 7 qualified
    • Series 24 preferred (will sponsor for the right candidate)
    • Margin Lending experience, financial accounting, and related regulatory reporting experience a strong plus
    • Ability to collaborate cross functionally
    • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
    • Understanding of FRB Regulation T and FINRA Rule 4210 a strong plus
    • Experience reporting and supporting operational risk related functions, DR review, DTCC breaks, clearing, x-clearing, and CNS fails
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
    • A Risk/Control mindset
    • Ability to work independently to achieve successful results
