    Folio Investing is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed individual to fill the role of a Senior Project Manager. This position will support the Project Development and Project Management team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of next generation retail investing, digital advice, and financial advisor solutions.     Responsibilities

    • Motivated self-starter with excellent communication, leadership, management, facilitation, and problem solving skills, in addition to requiring advanced Project Management skills.
    • Manage project plans from initial concept through final implementation and ensure adherence to quality standards ensuring methodologies, delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed.
    • Day-to-day project management responsibilities would include developing and updating project plans, resolving project and resource conflicts, facilitating solutions across department boundaries, tracking and communicating progress of multiple concurrent projects and driving a sense of urgency and dedication across all projects.
    • Ensure successful completion of assigned projects and programs through effective facilitation, tracking and reporting of status through consistent, standardized dashboards and metric reporting supporting Folio’s and department specific strategic goals and objectives.
    • Proactively manage the team’s baseline velocity, sprint cadence and release plan.
    • Ensure that the team remains focused on delivering high quality working software at the end of each sprint.
    • Lead core scrum ceremonies and coach the team on foundational and advanced agile concepts such as the daily standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, user story mapping and hypothesis validation (strong listening, teaching ability and passion for Agile is a must).
    • Provide project status updates to firm executives in a concise and clear manner.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5+ years of project management experience in Fintech and/or Financial Services Industry with a focus in driving enterprise level technology.
    • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, providing options and recommendations relating to resolving issues, mitigating risks, and resolving raised items.
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to set clear expectations, manage team performance and build high morale among team members.
    • Knowledge of various types of IT project standard and methodologies, i.e. ISO, CMM, Six Sigma, ITIL, conversions, incremental, rapid delivery, classic or traditional waterfall phases of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and the correct project application.
    • Advanced skill in the use of project management software to manage projects, e.g., MS Project and auxiliary tools, such as earned value database, audit tools, project repository, including risk, issues and action items database, SLIM Estimate, Metrics and Control, PlanView, Platinum Process Continuum.
    • Familiarity with Atlassian product suite – Specifically Jira core, Confluence and Jira Service Desk (JSD).
    • PMP and/or CSM and/or Agile certification a plus.
    • Experience with AWS a plus.
