  • Overview

     

    The Relationship Manager (RM) role is responsible for the overall general service, retention and growth of our advisor firm relationships, especially Folio’s largest advisory clients.  RM’s are expected to be knowledgeable and able to educate our clients on the various Folio platforms, products and services. The RM is responsible for delivering proactive, consultative client service and guidance, with the objective of driving client satisfaction, optimizing client retention and increasing assets on the platform.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key clients as designated, and manage customer relationships in an effort to insure continued business partnership and contribution to the firm
    • Manage the delivery of a comprehensive plan to on-board/train new clients supported by online tools, resources and industry expertise
    • Provide proactive service support for each client relationship, their advisors and advised clients, either personally or through an extended network of business partners; Client Services (Call Centers), Brokerage Operations, Compliance, Product, IT, Legal and other areas of the firm on a regular basis
    • Promote client retention by leveraging formal call and site visits with key clients to obtain feedback on product and service delivery. Champion enhancements and coordinate training to meet client needs
    • Articulate ideas/enhancements in a way that allows them to be developed and put into production, or for new brokerage ops or other processes and procedures to be implemented
    • Be the point of escalation or complex service inquiries. Work with management team on problem resolution efforts
    • Foster and promote strategic partnerships with client firms to ensure continuous business growth and client retention; leverage an understanding of their business model, growth patterns and asset trends
    • Identify at risk client relationships, assess degree of vulnerability, leverage Folio’s internal resources to develop and execute a retention strategy
    • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to coordinate client development and loyalty strategies
    • Collaborate with management and peers in Client Services to develop a differentiated service experience for our advisor client segment

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant industry experience may be considered
    • 3+ years in client service relationship management or high value client servicing experience
    • FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses
    • Exceptional consultative client service skills with proven track record of enhancing relationships with clients
    • Superior communication and presentation skills, ability to demonstrate confidence and executive presence in external and internal business interactions
    • Creative problem solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within tight timeframes
    • Ability to interface with all clients including their Operations employees
    • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external senior management members
    • Excellent product, service, brokerage operations and market knowledge
    • Develop a deep knowledge of the capabilities of the Folio online platforms and trading system. Comprehensive understanding of how the Folio system works and an ability to articulate concepts to a varied audience
