  • Overview

    Folio maintains a high availability enterprise environment which supports a complex proprietary stock trading system. The Infrastructure Manager’s responsibilities range from strategic to tactical in nature – involving all systems related components within our infrastructure. The Manager would be responsible for designing and planning as well as implementation and ongoing operational support of our unique hybrid environment.


    • Responsible for the planning, supervision of projects and success of managing our data center, vendors and lead technical discussions on infrastructure.
    • Responsible for the architectural design, development, and deployment of the enterprise's overall systems including Systems Administration, SAN Administration and Cloud Services.
    • Provide executive management guidance on financial management of Infrastructure with strong understanding of Capital and Operation expenses.
    • Researches, identifies, selects, and tests technology products required for solution delivery.
    • Establishes, implements, and documents the technology integration or migration strategies.
    • Stay on top of and reports on industry trends and new technologies for Infrastructure architecture.
    • Responsible for designing and implementing short and long-term strategic goals for managing and maintaining systems and software.
    • Ability to work among multiple groups with IT and Business development to design and implement solutions.
    • Produces written system proposals and plans.
    • Manages and communicates project tasks, status and deadlines.
    • Works on multiple concurrent projects.
    • Works independently to complete projects on time.
    • Provides hands on guidance for on-call escalations.
    • Manages enterprise level infrastructure teams that supports various operating systems.



    • Bachelors or Masters degree in IT/IS, Computer Science or related discipline (can be offset by experience).
    • 10+ years professional work experience with system administration and 5+ years with management experience.
    • Dynamic approach to functional strategies, utilizing business expertise to reach financial and operational objectives
    • Prior experience as an Infrastructure solution architect.
    • In-depth knowledge of systems and functions including design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, systems testing and evaluation.
    • Experience designing and managing hybrid architectures (Local DC, Remote DC, Cloud Services, etc.).
    • Understanding of how to integrate with various security systems and processes, including certificates, SSO, disk & file encryption, and pre-boot authentication.
    • Experience with SAN storage technologies ranging from iSCSI, FC, etc.
    • Strong Working knowledge of Solaris, Linux along with Windows server environments.
    • Experience in designing / managing Infrastructure for databases.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively, adapting to shifting priorities.


    Preferred Skills:

    • Hands-on experience with DNS, Internet Infrastructure, and IP informational tools.
    • Hands on experience in Virtual Infrastructure (Example: VMWARE, HYPER-V,…)
    • ITIL Foundations.
    • Experience in AWS.
    • Experience leading UNIX and SAN administrators.
    • Experience in process automation.


    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
