  • Overview


    Under the direction of the Chief Retail Officer, the Director of Enterprise Relationship Management is responsible for relationship management, planning and development of B2B2C enterprise clients.  This job requires a broad knowledge of Folio Investing’s business operations, technology and consumer facing products, to effectively leverage its product/service offerings, satisfy client needs/issues, identify opportunities and maximize financial results. This role also requires proficiency in relationship management, financial acumen, influence skills, presentation skills and must be able to communicate and influence internal partners.  This position works closely with Folio’s project management, client service, and technology teams along with other members of the retail business unit.   


    This position also collaborates with the enterprise sales team on various client issues and potential revenue opportunities.  The role solves problems, leads and influences enterprise wide client needs with the retail product and marketing teams, project management, technology, operations, client service and    invoicing.  



    Execute Business Strategy with Day to Day Relationship Management, Project Management Relationship Development, Product Roadmap, B2B2C Development


    Day to Day Relationship Management:

    • As the primary point of client contact you will effectively understand the client’s needs, identify solutions, and resolve complex customer issues.  
    • Provide continuous pro-active communication on client product strategies and road map, focus areas, and assist with escalation of issues and concerns from retail partners to appropriate areas within Folio.
    • Active in providing and maintaining strong relationships and insuring the business outcomes are achieved and communicated appropriately to insure success.
    • Maintain a tracking system or log of issues with background information and Monitor client performance trends.
    • Act as the conduit for announcements or communications to clients regarding procedure, policy or processing changes.

    Project Management:

    • Lead special projects and contribute to the formulation of recommendations with enterprise clients, product and project management teams.
    • Provide high level support in the following areas: organization needs, problem solving, and issues identification, as well as integration of initiatives, development of solutions and actions. Lead the development of Folio’s B2B2C clients key metrics and relationship information for client and Folio leadership.

    Relationship Development and Product Roadmap:

    • Formulate and implement business development plans in order to grow clients’ AUM (and/or number of individual retail clients) and drive revenue.  Plans to include: Identification of both opportunities and problem results, setting goals, building customized action plans, monitoring results and communicating progress through disciplined, formal follow up. Provide detailed monthly and quarterly reporting of results to distributors and brokers clients.
    • Partner with retail product managers to ensure client needs, enhancements and bugs are prioritized accordingly.  Support client requests with business case (cost, revenue analysis).
    • Work with development teams to ensure that they understand the client’s vision for the product and are designing features to ensure client success with revenue growth.
    •  Develop appropriately detailed specifications for new client product features so that they are clearly understood by the development teams.
    • Participate in product roadmap and enhancement priorities, assist with business specifications, QA testing and bug prioritization.
    • Work with development teams to ensure that they understand the vision for the product and are designing great features for our Brands.

    B2B2C Development:

    • Support the enterprise sales and business development teams on emerging retail opportunities and assisting with the vetting process.  When a new prospect is considered this role will be involved in the potential client review meetings to help determine the next steps for the retail business.
    • Partner with sales team in transitioning enterprise prospects to clients with on boarding, training and daily contact.


    • 7 – 10 years experience in wealth management, asset management, digital investing, or relationship/account management required with digital product management experience a plus.
    • Demonstrated leadership/management, strategic planning, negotiation, and influence management skills with a history (and preference) of being both strategy and execution-oriented.
    • Experience in growing new businesses and implementing plans and strategies to ensure client success and growth while establishing & maintaining good client relationships.
    • Knowledge of release schedules, tight deadlines, and competitive demands with the ability to balance what are often times competing priorities between various product/clients.
    • Analytical and data driven.
    • Ability to translate business/client growth strategy into product strategy.
    • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Exceptional listening skills.
    • The ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization from senior executives to staff level. Strong presentation skills necessary to communicate and influence a wide range of audiences.
    • Serious attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
