    Folio Investing is looking for a talented full-time Mobile/Web UI Engineer and Developer to utilize state -of-the-art web/mobile technologies to ensure our products look great and perform complex functions while being intuitive and easy to use. We are seeking a self-motivated Lead Engineer with a thirst for emerging technologies; who strives to consistently develop cutting edge web applications.     As the Lead Engineer and Developer, you must have strong communication and product management skills as well as creative, technical and analytical abilities. In this role, you would be responsible for collaborating and partnering with a team that ensures our enterprise websites and mobile applications are both easy to use and visually engaging. You and your team would partner regularly with Marketing, Information Technology, Corporate Communications and Business Technology to provide products, services and solutions that focus on user-centered design.


     Specifically, you’ll do the following:

    • Architect, develop, integrate, debug, test and deliver top-quality, scalable, and high-performance web and mobile applications using Ionic, Cordova, and Angular 2.
    • Work with front-end and back-end engineers to learn about all parts of the stack and features. Conduct code-reviews, contribute to the API design and definition, and constantly improve the innovative engineering culture and best practices within the group.
    • Collaborate with designers,- and the development, security and product teams to deliver best in class enterprise ready web/mobile solutions using industry standards and best practices.
    • Work with internal and external partners to design, develop and deliver scalable web/mobile solutions.
    • Own the operations and continuous improvement of our web application UI/front-end.
    • Design, build and deploy modern mobile and web applications.
    • Be responsible for site navigation, flow, user experience, prototype, and layout.
    • Build polished UI and code that interacts with RESTful web services.
    • Optimize front-end code to ensure a consistent and fast experience for our users.
    • Create rich web and mobile applications.
    • Research existing systems and practices to understand business requirements and problems.


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline (can be offset by experience).
    • Must have strong experience with IONIC, Cordova, and Angular 2.
    • Thorough understanding of ES6, ES7, ES8/ newer specifications of ECMAScript.
    • Demonstrated expertise with HTML5, CSS3 and Responsive Web Design.
    • Expertise in at least one JavaScript framework such as Angular 2, React or similar modern frameworks.
    • Experience with hybrid mobile applications development.
    • Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience.
    • Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design, Data Structures, Algorithms, and Complexity Analysis.


    Work Environment:

    This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.


    Physical Demands:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
